Mallalli Falls Coorg Overview

Mallalli Falls can be found at the base of Pushpa Giri Hill Ranges in Bettadahalli Gram Panchayat, which is in Somwarpet Taluk of Coorg district. These waterfalls form when the River Kumaradhara flows down from more than 200 feet, making a beautiful view we will always remember. It is one of the must-visit places to visit in Coorg, attracting nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.

The falls are 25 kilometres from Somwarpet and 42 kilometres from Kushalnagar. There are buses from Somwarpet to Hanchinalli, the closest village to the waterfalls. You can also visit Bidalli, which is close to Somwarpet. It is 2.5 km from the falls.

The roads are very small, and one can walk to the falls. The place is excellent for trekking, with beautiful scenery all around. The waterfalls at the foot of Pushpa Giri Hill make it an excellent place for adventurous trekking. Be careful of leeches on the trek to the waterfalls while trekking.

Which River flows in Mallalli Falls Coorg?

Mallalli Falls comes from the Kumardhara River, which is a major branch of the Netravati River. Pilgrims visiting Kukke Subhramanya Temple in Subhramanya are thought to need to cross this River to take a holy bath before entering the temple. The river is about 40 km long and goes through two main towns: Kukke Subhramanya and Uppinangadi.

Mallalli Falls is a new destination for tourists in comparison to other places in India. People of this region knew that the government did not attract many tourists here because it was deprived of good roads, internet access, and thick woods. Recently, the government transformed this area with improved roads for easy accessibility and more homestays and motels around. Visitors can now find a nice place to relax and book motels for a simple stay. Travelling from any part of the country is easy because of its great connections to the main cities.

The best time to visit Mallalli Falls Coorg

Being a year-round destination, you can plan a trip here at any time of the year. It is highly recommended to come during the rainy season, especially from June to September. During this time of year, waterfalls in Coorg are at their best, full of water and surrounded by beautiful green nature, creating a wonderful experience. This time of year, is lovely, with temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. This tropical climate also ensures you can spot wildlife in their natural habitats and enjoy the relaxing waterfalls.

How to reach Mallalli Falls Coorg?

The closest train stop is in Mysore. The train stop is about 134 kilometres away from Mallalli Falls. You can take a car or cab to get to the falls.

If you're driving, the Mallalli Falls are about 42 kilometres from Kushalnagar and 26 kilometres from Somwarpet. You can get around using your car, a cab, or a bus.It is one of the best places to visit in Coorg.

The closest airport is in Bangalore. Bangalore Airport is an international airport that makes visiting easy for people from other countries.

Driving through the Western Ghats is a wonderful experience. You can see beautiful green landscapes and impressive mountains, allowing you to relax away from busy city life.

•    Go to the “Tours” section on the website and click on it. You can see a drop-down menu where different tour packages will show. Click any one of them according to your wish and then a webpage will be redirected. You can select the “Starting City” and the “Trip Duration” in order to know the price for your trip. You will get a lot of options of tour packages which you may select according to your will. 
•    There will be some more options which you need to answer correctly in order to get the final price of your tour.

No. Someone trying to book a tour package does not need to make full payment. There are three options to make the payment - 30%, 50% or 100%. One can choose any of the above-stated options to book the package.

30% option - Initially customer has to pay 30% for the booking confirmation. Within 24 hours hotel vouchers will be shared. Upon the hotel vouchers receipt, the customer has to release another 20% of the payment. The remaining 50% amount should be released one day prior to your travel date.

50% option - Customer has to pay 50% for the booking confirmation. Within 24 hours hotel vouchers will be shared. The remaining 50% amount should be released one day prior to your travel date.

100% option - Upon 100% of the payment, there is no due from the customer. We will be happy to provide service.  

•    After the payment is successful the customer/client will find an auto-generated invoice. Apart from that,  a confirmation mail and message will be sent to the client’s mail id and number respectively from the assigned tour manager.

•    If a client is booking on behalf of a family member or a friend, then he/she will have to have the basic details about the traveler. Like the starting city of the journey, desired length of the trip, contact details, and some more. It is very easy and convenient to book on behalf of someone.
